ROLE SUMMARY

The Project Manager at SABR oversees construction projects from initial conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires strategic planning, team coordination, and effective stakeholder communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from start to finish.

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

  • Work with senior management to develop project budgets and ensure adherence throughout the project.

  • Collaborate with the design team to accurately complete quantity surveying to minimize wastage, and process material orders as needed.

  • Oversee site operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Compile project contractor lists and ensure all trade contracts and site safety documents are completed by contractors before they begin work on any SABR project.

  • Coordinate with designers, engineers, contractors, and other team members.

  • Monitor the progress of projects and provide regular updates to senior management.

  • Participate in 3D design detail meetings to identify and resolve potential project risks and issues before construction starts, preventing project delays.

  • Work with the design team to develop a detailed scope of works for each contractor and ensure the Site Supervisor verifies completion of all items to SABR’s quality standards, before signing off trade works.

  • Enquire and fulfill all requirements by utility providers, including Jemena Gas, Ausgrid, Hunter Water, and NBN.

  • Oversee all items relating to project certifications and the NSW planning portal, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and project requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships.

  • Work alongside CFO in the processing of project Change Orders and funding requirements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects.

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Proficiency in technology, for the effective use of project management software and navigation of 3D models.

  • Strong resilience and problem-solving skills for efficiently overcoming obstacles and resolving conflicts.

  • Proficient in interpreting project plans and technical drawings.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the entire construction process, with a deep understanding of methods, materials, and regulatory requirements

  • Strong work ethic characterised by reliability, diligence, and a commitment to achieving high-quality results consistently.
